Soon after, GeForce NOW exited its long beta status and finally delivered a Chromebook-specific version of its very excellent web player. With their clear and unwavering inclusion of Chromebooks in the entire process, Google made it a point that game streaming on Chrome OS was set to be a great experience. Things are changing, however, and much of it started with Stadia. While I once thought Android would help to solve that problem, it’s only been a mildly-effective salve since developers seem to still largely ignore the larger-screened, keyboard/mouse-possessing Chromebook platform. ![]() I’m not exactly a hardcore gamer or anything, but I always wished there were a few more options for Chromebooks than just web-based games. Do you remember a few years ago when the idea of gaming on a Chromebook was a laughable one? I do.
